253K already vaccinated in Negros Oriental

DUMAGUETE CITY – The total number of individuals in Negros Oriental who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) has reached 253,062.

 

Records of the Provincial Health Office showed that as of September 24, a total of 125,347 have received the first dose while 127,715 have been fully vaccinated from priority groups A1 (health care workers), A2 (senior citizens), A3 (adults with comorbidities), A4 (other front-liners), and A5 (indigents).

The province’s target population for vaccination is 908,939.

Negros Oriental has so far received 352,362 doses of Covid-19 vaccines of various brands.

The province has a mega vaccination site at the Macias Sports Center here while a mobile vaccination team has been visiting different towns and cities to speed up the inoculation rollout.

The province has 1,505 active Covid-19 cases while hospital bed capacity for Covid-19 patients is between 52 percent and 100 percent, also as of Friday. (PNA)
