Lagawe Fire Station Information Officer FO1 Keith Bautista reported during the PIA radio program here that their office was able to collect the total amount of P504, 130.00 comprising of P412,502.00 fire revenue collections for January, and P91,628 for the month of February as compared to theP540, 504.00 total collections for the whole year of 2020.
Bautista also shared that in the forefront of the celebration of Fire Prevention Month, they were able to inspect 653 buildings and establishments in the municipality for the first two months of 2021 as against the 677 total for the whole year of 2020.
He informed that in their new normal regular duties under the Oplan Ligtas Pamayanan (OLP) on the Road, they go around barangays sharing fire safety awareness and tips. The theme for their OLP On the Road Fire Safety Tips for the first week of March was “Mainit, Wag Mag-iinit” when they conducted lectures in five barangays. They also conducted drills during the conduct of the 2021 First Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill.
As a member of the Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force Against COVID-19, the MFS continues to deliver water rations for the use of the local government, Municipal Health Office, checkpoints and the Municipal Action and General Service Office.
The Lagawe Fire Station has a total strength of 15 personnel led by SFO4 Ireneo Tilan Jr. but only 10 are manning the office since three are in schooling while two are assigned in Hingyon because the town has no fire station yet. (JDP/DBC- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
