The Ifugao Police Provincial Office (IPPO) through the Provincial Community Affairs Development Unit (PCADU), in partnership with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Ifugao Provincial Mobile Force Company and the Hungduan Municipal Police station other police units, conducted an outreach activity at Bila in barangay Maggok.
The team served 40 families in the form of distribution of food packs and facemasks, demonstration on the proper toothbrushing technique to the children, provision of free haircut, distribution of information materials and lectures on anti-illegal drugs and anti-terrorism, Coronavirus Awareness Response and Empowerment (CARE), bomb threat awareness, and rape prevention tips.
“I would like to thank the Ifugao police for having a program like this as we are very much blessed that you have chosen our place for this purpose. We look forward to seeing your program expand to the rest of the Ifugao community so that others will also benefit from this,” Punong barangay Ramon Bumohya, Jr. said.
Bumohya assured that they will apply what they have learned from the lectures conducted and cherish the good deeds that the police officers shared to the residents.
Police Major Cruzaldo Liwayan praised the residents for their participation and warm welcome and assured them that the Ifugao PNP is always ready to extend help and reach out to the people with a heart.
The activity was made possible through the concerted efforts of the Ifugao police personnel who extended both financial and moral supports. Thiswas also in line with the observance of the National Women’s Month. (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
