Moreno received on Wednesday, February 23, the awards given by representatives of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for Manila's accomplishments.
The awards received were Overall Competitiveness Award for Highly Urbanized Cities, 1st in Most Competitive in Government Efficiency and Infrastucture, and 3rd in Most Competitive in Economic Dynamism and Resiliency.
“Una nagpapasalamat ako sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno na iyon na kinilala ang ating small effort na gawing maaliwalas ang ating Lungsod ng Maynila na talaga maging business friendly and a city of opportunity,” Domagoso said.
“Inaalay ko ito para sa mga taga-Maynila. It is for them, I’m just happy to be part of it, that in our own little way, pipilitin pa naming pag-ibayuhin because you deserve better things from your government,” he added.
The awards given were based on the programs being implemented by the cities in order to improve their “economic dynamism, government efficiency, infrastructure, and resiliency.”
