City Social Welfare and Development Officer Susana Daluping reported that the COVID-19 aid were distributed to the 20 most affected barangays namely Agbannawag, Amlao, Appas, Bado Dangwa, Balawag, Bantay, Bulanao Centro, Bulanao Norte, Casigayan, Dagupan Centro, Dagupan West, Dilag, Lacnog, Laya East, Magsaysay, Malin-Awa, Naneng, New Tanglag, San Juan and San Julian.
The food packs containing rice, assorted canned goods, coffee and creamer were distributed to families while the hygiene kits were given to individuals at barangay isolation units.
Mayor Darwin C. Estranero led the turn-over of the aid to barangay officials for distribution.
In a related report, some 46 residents from Barangays Malin-awa (30), Balawag (15) and Bulanao Norte (1) were given COVID-19 relief packs from DSWD, Office of Civil Defense (OCD) and city government after they tested positive in the first round of the COVID-19 mass testing here.
Barangays Malin-awa and Balawag are placed on a two-week lockdown from February 20-March 5 after posting COVID-19 high risk rate from the mass testing. (JDP/LL-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
