DILG trains Ifugao LGU on CBMS- APP

KIANGAN, Ifugao, Feb. 7 (PIA)- -The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) conducted a five-day training on the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Accelerated Poverty Profiling (APP) mobile-based version Module 1 to 16 enumerators and  four  field editors of this town  last week.

The CBMS APP is an organized process of data collection and processing at the local level and the integration of data in local planning, program implementation and impact monitoring with the combined use of latest information and communication technology tools.  It is a system that promotes evidence-based policy making and program implementation while empowering communities to participate in the process.

For the training, the municipal government purchased 16 units of android tablets that were used by the enumerator-trainees. These will also be used during the survey on data collection of households and the making of barangay profiles.

The enumerators and field editors are now assigned to the 14 barangays of the municipality and will be doing their work from February 4 until the end of March this year.

The DILG will conduct similar trainings to all the other municipalities of the province. (JDP/DBC- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
