PNP-Ifugao rallies public support for peaceful and progressive community

LAGAWE, Ifugao, Nov. 13 (PIA) --The new provincial police chief here rallied workers in the  local government units, government agencies and the private sector in  the province  to support the drive for a peaceful and progressive community.


Philippine National Police - Ifugao Director Senior Superintendent Job Russel Balaquit said that the police force could not attain even halfway of its vision without sacrifices and support from the government and private sectors.

“Our beloved counterparts in the public service, we continue to seek your support in our advocacies, police operations, management of resources, trainings and capability buildings until together we reach the goal and are proud to say it’s more safe and secure to live, work and do business in Ifugao,” Balaquit enjoined.

PNP – Ifugao was lauded by the higher headquarters for remarkable accomplishments in the past semesters, but there are still many concerns  that need to be addressed.

 On crime statistics, physical injuries have been consistent on top over the past three years. Rape ranked second although there is a decrease of 40% from last year, he noted as he urged social workers to help study the factors of rape in the province to come up with effective prevention or reduction program

“To our Ifugao community, rest assured that your police remain vigilant against illegal drugs, criminality and corruption. Our appeal is for you to rally behind us in this campaign because we will be embarking on more community engagements,” he said. (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
