Hungduan bagged the GBA crown with prize of P12,000 while the towns of Asipulo and Lamut tied for second with prize of P8,000 each and Hingyon in third place with P6,000.
In the search for outstanding BNC, Barangay Poblacion East in Lamut got the first place, followed by Abatan, Hungduan and Nungawa, Asipulo as second and third places respectively. They receive P5, 000; P4, 000 and P3, 000 as cash prize respectively.
In the search for most outstanding BNS, Maribel Bu-ucan of Poblacion East, Lamut was declared winner. Maria Taguiling and Jenny SacyongLoreta Sanchez placed second and third, respectively.
The annual search is one of the initiatives of the provincial government to enhance the activeness of different municipal nutrition councils and barangay nutrition committees in their effort to help address the health needs of their respective communities.
Meanwhile, the municipality of Aguinaldo bagged the first place in the choral completion with a cash prize of P8, 000. Tinoc and Lagawe placed second and third with an incentive of P7, 000 and P6, 000 respectively.
The Provincial Nutrition Council headed by Gov. Pedro Mayam-o, also awarded a certificate of appreciation to the various member agencies for their active involvement in the inter-agency efforts for the nutrition program that helped the province attain the Nutrition Honor Award in 2014. (PIA Ifugao)
