IFSU ROTC remains RAATI winner

LAMUT, Ifugao, April 30 (PIA)--The Ifugao State University (IFSU) Main Campus Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) successfully defended its 2018 title as the champion in  the recently concluded  Regional Annual Administrative Tactical Inspection (RAATI).  

The IFSU ROTC bested nine other higher education institution ROTC units in the Cordillera region in the areas of company drill, map reading, theoretical different exam, small unit tactic, field stripping, administrative aspect, band and other components. 
 
In her inspirational message, IFSU President Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon urged the young and aspiring reservists and reserve officers to become leaders in the future by embracing honor, patriotism and duty. 
 
“You are the future of this nation. You will one day become the generation that leads this country. Your actions today will shape the course of tomorrow,” Dugyon stated.
 
She stressed that honor, patriotism and duty are three important words for success in their chosen career. “These are the core values and the heart of this activity that will define how you want to be,” she said.
 
 “It is an honor to be declared anew as the champion for the RAATI 2019. It is a fruit of our hard work, discipline and preparation.” IFSU ROTC Corps Commander Augusto Binwek said.
 
Dr. Leudane L. Lonez, IFSU National Service Training Program Director, also thanked the school administration for  its support .   “Malaki din na tulong ang pagiging maka-Diyos, masipag, masigasig at pro-active sa lahat ng bagay sa ating NSTP at ROTC programs,” he added.

The RAATI Team was led by Col. Gregory L. Docil INF (GSC) Philippine Army. (JDP/ MBL with reports from  IFSU).
