The BOSS aims to ease the businessmen in their application/renewal of business permits as they need not hop from one office to another to secure their clearances and whatever documents required in the processing if business permits.
It is composed of various national agencies that are involved in the regulation of businesses together with the local government units where the businesses operate and are domiciled. These are the DTI, the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the Social Security System and PhilHealth.
The Department of Trade and Industry in Abra headed by Director Arell F. Bañez fielded staff to the local government units of Bangued, San Juan, Manabo and Sallapadan to assist the businessmen/entrepreneurs in securing the requirements for the application and renewal of business permits this month of January to avoid penalties and surcharges.
The BOSS was in operation from January 3-18 including weekends.
Administrative Officer Vanessa Villanueva reported that they were able to collate a total of 315 businesses that have registered their business names.
Those who have not registered their businesses during the BOSS operation are free to go to the DTI Provincial Office in Brgy. Ubbog-Lipcan, Bangued anytime. (JDP/MTBB - PIA CAR, Abra)
