The vacationing OFWs, OFW federations, returnees and their families were toured at the Sevilleja’s Farm in Brgy. Abaquid, Danglas and in Mount Carmel in Galicia, Pidigan.

There were also learning sessions on program reintegration and lecture-demonstrations.

OWWA-Cordillera Regional Director Manuela Peña said  the OFW Family Day is an annual occasion to give due recognition for the sacrifices of OFWs and their families, who as they dream for better future, also bear the social cost of migration that threatens family solidarity.  It is also a day of entertainment with food treats, fun games and raffles.

The OFW Family Day is also government’s way of giving recognition to OFWs’ contribution in uplifting the economy and in nation-building. (JDP/MTBB -PIA CAR, Abra)
