Civic action program serves474 in Kalinga

CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga, Aug. 2(PIA) -- About 474 persons were served during a civic action program in commemoration of the 2nd founding anniversary of the Gabriela Mija Kim Medical Center here.


Maj. Frod Alsiyao said the activity was spearheaded by the 1405th Community Defense Center (14th (CAR) Regional Community Defense Group, ARESCOM where is the director, with the Kalinga-Apayao Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion, the 503rd Infantry Brigade and the local Philippine National Police, in cooperation with the Kalinga provincial government and the Kalinga State University.

Most of the beneficiaries availed of medical-dental services, 39 were circumcised while 65 availed of free haircut.

Residents of beneficiary- barangays Agbannawag, Lacnog, Nambaran, Bulo, and Malalao expressed their gratitude for the free government services.

503rd Brigade Commander BGen. Leopoldo Imbang Jr. assured they will always support the civil government as part of their non-combat operations.

“A healthy populace will be productive, looking for livelihood to earn income for their families, hence contributing to peaceful and progressive communities,” he said in his message.
