PNP’s ‘Project KABADANG’ reaches out to remote school

CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga, June 19 (PIA) - -  More than 50 pupils of Tangbay Elementary School (TES) this city benefited from “Project KABADANG” of the Kalinga Provincial Police Mobile Force Compnay (KPPMFC) receiving school supplies, T-shirts and goodies.

 

The Civil Military Operations Company of the 5th Infantry Division and the 1LACT, MECH Divison , Philippine Army  also gave trash bins to the school.

Lectures on anti-criminality and terrorism were also conducted for parents, the community and barangay officials while Department of Health representatives lectured on proper hand washing   and  other health tips.

“Project KABADANG” (Kalinga At Pagmamahal sa Kabataan Biyaya Alay ng Kapulisan tungo sa Dakilang Adhikaing Kapayapaan na Ninanais ng Mamamayan at Gobyerno) is formerly the “Blessing Ko, Share Ko” good practice of KPPMFC that adopts schools in rebel –affected areas as recipients of its gift giving activities  done twice a year.

TES is the first school served under KABADANG.

Susette Gamon,  TES Teacher-in-Charge, said this is their only experieince to have a converegence of government delivering public service to their place.

 “We are very much thankful that such group has a big heart bringing gifts for our pupils”, she said.

Teacher Lydia Gamongan  expressed her gratitude to the PNP and military for selecting their school as recipient of this humanitarian activity.

PCInsp. Jose Mulleta, Deputy Force Commander,  said the PNP is at present intensifying its internal secutirty operations to establish a permanent climate of peace where people are free to roam and make livelihood and for government to bring closer public service to the communities.
