P10M allotted for Kalinga's Congressional Scholarship Program

TABUK CITY, Kalinga, May 25 (PIA) - -Kalinga solon Allen Jesse Mangaoang has allotted  P10 million  to his Congressional Scholarship Program for deserving students of the province for  school year 2017-2018.


The fund, he said, is distributed in various colleges and universities in the province including schools in  Cagayan, Nueva Viscaya, Mountain   Province and Baguio Citywhere Kalingastudents  will enroll.

Kalinga State University(KSU) is earmarked P4M from the fundwith the   expected high enrollment, Mangaoang said.

Kalinga students who enroll  inschools in Metro Manila will also  given slots under the scholarship program upon approval of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED),he bared

He advised applicants to visit the Congressman’s District Office for more information and details.

In a related report, Mangaoangreported that  his bill  creating Malagnat National High School in Pinukpukmunicipality and Santor National High School in Rizal municipality had passed first reading at the House.

He also informed that the bill he filed creating the new barangays of Tabuk City namely Ipil, Bulanao Norte, Nambaran East and Lacnog West had passed the House third and final reading and is now transmitted to the Senate.(LL—PIA CAR, Kalinga)
