P10M allotted for Kalinga's Congressional Scholarship Program

TABUK CITY, Kalinga, May 25 (PIA) - -Kalinga solon Allen Jesse Mangaoang has allotted  P10 million  to his Congressional Scholarship Program for deserving students of the province for  school year 2017-2018.

61,000 Pantawid households in CAR receive rice subsidy

BAGUIO CITY, April 28- - The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program has released a total amount of Php 36,210,600.00 to cover the rice subsidy to PantawidPamilya households  in the region. The said amount covers 60,351 households who have been found to be registered, active and compliant in the implementation of the Program.

EMB-CAR warns local officials on solid waste compliance

BAGUIO CITY  – The Cordillera office of the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB-CAR) warned local officials regionwide that they can be imposed a fine of up to P1 million or they could be imprisoned for up to six years once they continue to disregard their mandated compliance to the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act, specifically the closure of open dumpsites and the establishment of environmentally acceptable solid disposal facilities.
