Twenty nine are beneficiaries of the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) while four are beneficiaries of the Livelihood Seeding Program- Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB).
Of the 29 PPG beneficiaries, 25 are from barangays Mainit, Guinaang and Dalican in Bontoc, which are identified as End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) barangays while four are fire victims from Bontoc and Sabangan.
Sari-sari store kits were awarded to 23 beneficiaries and two beneficiaries each for bakery kits, eatery and food stall kits, and agri-business kits.
DTI-Cordillera Assistant Regional Director Juliet P. Lucas, Bontoc Councilor Jerome Tudlong and representatives from the 54IB Philippine Army and the Bureau of Fire Protection witnessed the awarding of kits.
Last October 28, DTI awarded livelihood kits to 25 LSP-NSB and four PPG beneficiaries in the municipality of Natonin. The beneficiaries included five from NSB barangays, three rebel returnees, and one fire victim.
The ceremony was graced by the Governor Bonifacio Lacwasan Jr. and Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Member Joshua Fronda. They encouraged the MSME beneficiaries to continue growing their business ventures using the kits provided and to avail of the different government services which may help in the inclusive and wholesome development of their ventures.(JDP/JBSS-PIA CAR, Mt.
