Relokasyon ng illegal dwellers sa Runruno, isusulong

QUEZON, Nueva Vizcaya, Nobyembre 19 (PIA) - Agarang evacuation o relokasyon sa mga iligal na naninirahan sa barangay Runruno sa Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya ang kailangan upang hindi na muling maulit ang trahedyang dulot ng landslide na kumitil sa buhay ng 10 katao kamakailan dahil sa malakas na ulan ng bagyong ‘Ulysses'.

 

Ayon kay DENR Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer Edgar Martin, dapat nang lisanin ng mga iligal na naninirahan ang mga geo-hazard areas sa sitio compound sa Runruno upang hindi na sila malagay sa panganib ng landslide.

Ayon pa kay Martin, dapat ring ipagbawal ang pagpasok ng mga dayuhan sa 'no build zone' na lugar upang hindi na ito muling pamugaran.

Sinabi ni Martin na ang nangyaring landslide ay hindi maiuugnay sa mining project ng FCF minerals corporation dahil wala pa itong excavation activities sa lugar kung saan nangyari ang landslide.

Dagdag ni Martin na natural phenomenon ang nangyaring landslide dahil sa matarik ito at malambot ang lupa ng bundok dahilan ito upang madaling bumigay sa malakas na ulang dulot ng bagyong ‘Ulysses'.

Ayon pa sa kanya may 245 na katao na ang nabigyan ng compensation o kabayaran sa kanilang mga ari arian at kabuhayan upang lisanin na ang lugar na sakop ng mining permit ng nasabing mining company.

Ayon kay Martin, ang pagiging geo-hazard status ng lugar ang naging basehan ng barangay upang magsagawa ng pabatid sa mga iligal na naninirahan na lisanin na ang lugar dahil sa nagbabadyang panganib ng  landslide.

Dahil dito,  isang dialogue ang isasagawa ng DENR, LGU Quezon PLGU Nueva Vizcaya, illegal dwellers at ibang ahensiya ng pamahalaan upang mailatag ang mga plano at alternatibong paraan para sa paglikas ng mga apektadong mamamayan sa nasabing lugar na karamihan ay galing sa lalawigan ng Ifugao at Quirino.

Sinabi pa ni Martin na ang pagsasaayos ng isang katanggap-tanggap na evacuation area at usapin sa livelihood ang inaasahang mapag uusapan sa susunod na linggo.

Sa kasalukuyan, pinaigting ng DENR ang pagbabantay sa nasabing lugar at pagbabawal ng mga papasok na iligal na naninirahan . (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
