DA-INREMP implements 8 projects in Kalinga

CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga, Oct. 19 (PIA) - - Seven sub-projects under the Department of Agriculture-Integrated Natural Resources and Environment Management Program (DA-INREMP)  in the province are on-going implementation while one is yet to start.

 

These are the rehabilitation of  three  farm-to-market roads , three footpaths , and  two communal irrigation systems  with total funding of P82 million.

The P32.3M rehabilitation of the 6.8 kilometers Mallango-Sumadel-Belong-Manubal FMR in Tinglayan is 71.26% accomplished as of September 8; the P7M rehab of the 1.6 kms. Tawang FMR in Balbalan is 74.17% completed as of Sept. 17, and the P17.5M improvement of 4 kms. Malucsad-Guinaang-Puapo FMR in Pasil is 35% done as of Oct. 8.

The footpath projects  are the  P2.8M-worth  Malusong-Mabongtot in Mabongtot, Lubuagan  which  is 27.53% accomplished as of Sept. 25; P4.3M Kela-Bangitan-Bacao-Duyaas in Upper Uma, also in Lubuagan ( 8.23% complete as of Oct. 7),  and the P7.3M –worth  project in Gaang in Tanudan which is  100% done based n original works as of Sept. 13. 

 The rehabilitation of the Pongod-Bawbaw-Bacog communal irrigation system in Upper Lubo, Tanudan amounting to P2.6M is already 100% accomplished based on original works. It is targeted to irrigate 12 hectares. Another CIS, the P1.1M improvement of Pingi-Codcodwe water works system in Gawaan, Balbalan   recently had its ground breaking. 

 Of the eight projects, three   will   benefit conflict areas.
