During his PTV4’s Laging Handa interview, DILG Spokesperson Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya said the DILG Provincial and City Office is in charge of processing the application.
At pwede po kayong mag file,” Malaya said.
In addition, he advised aspirants not to apply at the DILG Central Office, saying those applications will not be processed.
The DILG, however, will give preference to workers who were displaced due to the pandemic provided that the applicants are qualified, he said.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or college level in an allied medical course or criminology course to qualify, but should no one meet the critera, DILG will open the position to other college courses.
According to Malaya the 50,000 contact tracer position is a game changer in the battle against COVID-19. He added that the DILG contact tracing team would help as the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) adopts the "Magalong Formula."
To recall, a ratio of 37 contacts per positive case is being used by the national government as basis for tracing efforts under the government's action plan against COVID-19. (PIA NCR)
