On his Facebook page on Sunday, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto said that they are in need of more healthcare professionals as the local government expands its centralized quarantine facility after a meeting with the city’s Beat Covid Team.
“Marami kaming ginagawang adjustment sa sistema/protocols para mapabilis ang pag responde natin, lalo na ngayon na nag-spike ang bilang ng mga positibo sa lungsod at sa rehiyon.”
According to Mayor Vico, the city needs additional 65 nurses, 35 doctors (GPs) and two (2) medical technologists.
Earlier, Sotto said that mild and asymptomatic patients are being treated at the Rizal High School, which serves as the centralized quarantine facility that can accommodate up to 1,000 patients.
The move aims to provide non-stop basic services to its residents who have contracted the dreaded COVID-19, as well as constant medical support to the healthcare workers and other front-liners.
The city's centralized quarantine facility is complete with equipment to ensure COVID-19 patients are properly treated. (PIA-NCR)
