Munar said the EECQ is lifted in Sitio Sawili, Barangay Poblacion and Beckes-Jangnang-Pedawan-Bulala of Barangay Bayabas effective June 21 following the negative results of the confirmatory tests of the close contacts of the second COVID-19 patient of the municipality.
But Munar reminded that the whole municipality of Sablan is placed under GCQ from modified GCQ from June 18 until the end of the month as approved by the Cordillera- regional Inter Agency Task Group after the town recorded two COVID-19 patients who are both frontliners of the municipal government.
While under GCQ, aside from following minimum health protocols such as wearing of fask masks, practicing social distancing , frequent handwashing and proper cough etiquette as preventive measures against the COVID-19 virus. residents are advised to observe GCQ guidelines.
Curfew is from 7:00PM to 4:00AM; strict observance of age and health restrictions for Authorized persons outside of residence and no-APOR; mass gatherings including dine in services are suspended and religious gatherings are restricted. Validity of travel passes will be verified.
The two COVID -19 patients who are confined at the Benguet General Hospital and in stable condition earlier agreed to reveal their identities to facilitate contact tracing. The first patient tested positive on Independence Day while the second patient on June 16.
All municipal officials and employees were also directed to undergo swab testing prioritizing the close contacts of the patients. While waiting for their swab tests, they are required to undergo 14-days home quarantine. (JDP/RMC- PIA CAR)
