Dubbed P.A.P Song Fest for PNP- AFP-Padi , this is an online creativity of the Mountain Province Police Mobile Force Command(MPPMFC), the Armed Forces of the Philippines , and the priest of Kilong Catholic Mission, Rev. Fr. Marcial Lloyd C. Castaneda.
The entries were judged on the criteria - Interpretation and Mastery of the Song (30%); Quality of Voice (30%); Creativity of Music Video (20%), Audience impact on social media through FB likes and shares (20%).
Winning first prize with cash prize of P10,000.00 was the Jude L. Group. Second and third place winners were Penta Luna and Thearmuz Band with prize of P7,000 and P3,000 respectively.
The P.A.P Song Fest that ran for the month of May gathered 17 entries.
Gov. Bonifacio Lacwasan Jr/ during the awarding ceremony congratulated the winners, participants and the proponents/ organizers for the activity that is ‘a very good way of advocating COVID-19 awareness to all.’
“On behalf of the officialdom and of all the people of this province, please accept my heartfelt thanks. Aside from the entertainment, you were able to educate many of our people through your songs. We hope that all of you will continue to be with us as we continue to fight this epidemic,” he said.
With the success of this undertaking, PAP SongFest II is set to begin on June 22, 2020. This time, the official contest piece is “Come Home” composed by Fr. Castaneda encouraging the rebels come home to live in peace.
