GSIS Baguio Branch Manager Quintin S. Banez, in an advisory, stated that the Agency is open from Monday to Friday from 8:00AM to 12:00 noon only. “While service delivery is of paramount importance, GSIS Baguio is bound to observe mitigating measures to help control the spread of COVID-19 and to ensure the safety of the clients as well as its frontline personnel. Therefore, we shall strictly implement a minimized or no-contact policy transaction,” he stated.
The GSIS has set up mode of the different transactions for the guidance of the stakeholders.
For payments of GSIS premiums and loans amortizations, this could be done via payment thru banks or Over the counter (OTC) by appointment.
Payments of individual accounts - Loan payments (updating of arrears) are by OTC but there should be appointment.
Request for insurance premium quotations may be done thru e-mail or drop box. It is important that the transacting individuals indicate their e-mail addresses and contact numbers since release of said quotations will be thru e-mail.
For filing and processing of non-life insurance claims, including service billing from shop and casa, reporting of new claim shall be done thru e-mail. Release of letter of authority/ letter offer is by appointment basis (e-mail and phone call). Submission of claim documents is thru e-mail and phone call.
For authentication of certificate of cover (COC), send requests thru e-mail.
UMID Enrolment and UMID Card releasing is by appointment to be coordinated through the Agency Authorized Officer and GSIS.
For pensioners transactions particularly Annual Pensioners Information Revalidation (APIR), visit the GWAPS KIOSK or send requirements through email. But as per announcement of GSIS President and General Manager Rolando Ledesma Macasaet on Tuesday, old-age and survivorship pensioners born in March, April and May can do their APIR until June 30, 2020 and they still continue to receive their pensions.
For pension loan, Pensioners Emergency Loan, Pension Resumption and unpaid pension due to late APIR, send requirements through e mail.
For Consolidated Loan, Emergency Loan and Policy Loan of active members, apply thru GWAPS kiosk/ email /eGSISmo.
For filing of claims benefits for retirement / disability; separation ; Compulsory Life insurance (Maturity, Cash Surrender Value, Death); Optional Life insurance (Maturity, Cash Surrender Value, Death) ;Funeral ; Survivorship; Pre-need (Educhild Availment, CEAP), and Employees Compensation, download requirements at GSIS Website (www.gsis.gov.ph) : Citizen Charter. Send requirements thru email as advance copy only. Original documents are still required and may file at the drop box of GSIS branch office.
Check releasing is by appointment scheduled by GSIS.
