Karagdagang COVID-19 health facilities, testing kits, magagamit na

QUEZON CITY, Abril 6 (PIA) -- Handa nang tumanggap ng pasyente ang Rizal Memorial Coliseum na may 120 bed capacity at libreng WIFI connection.

 

Ito ang ibinalita sa ginanap na briefing ni Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr., chief implementer ng National Task Force (NTF) COVID-19 at Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity kahapon.

Aniya, tapos nang ayusin bilang health facility ang Rizal Memorial Coliseum at maaari nang magsimulang tumanggap ng pasyente simula ngayong Miyerkules, April 8, 2020.

Ito ay pangangalagaan ng AFP Medical Service Command at DOH. May tatlo hanggang 5 doktor at 50 nurses ang itatalaga dito, ayon sa opisyal.

"Ito po ay binuo ng Bayanihan... ito po lahat ay tinipong Government resources at private resources para mabigyan ng magandang kalunasan ang ating mga pasyente sa Rizal Memorial Coliseum." ani Galvez.

Samantala, ang World Trade Center naman ay may 500 bed capacity. Planong ilagay dito ang mild cases of COVID-19 patients at persons under investigation (PUIs).

May itatayo ring quarantine centers sa ibang rehiyon para sa PUIs at Persons under Monitoring (PUMs), sabi ni Galvez.

Pagdating naman sa mass testing na isinasagawa ng Department of Health (DOH), may 20,092 taong sumailalim na sa testing at 3,660 ang naging positibo dito.

"Nakikita po natin na 20% ang naging positibo... magandang senyales ang ibig sabihin po pero dapat po ay hindi tayo mag-kumpyansa," aniya.

Dagdag pa ni Galvez, mayroong 13,025 PUIs for testing at ito ay kakayaning mabigyan ng test sa mga susunod na araw dahil may 89,938 test kits na available.

"Nag-usap po kami ni Secretary Duque ng DOH na uunahin po nating tapusin ang National Capital Region (NCR) kasi ito ang epicenter, sumunod po ay Region 4, sunod ay Region 3, and then 'yung Davao Region, at Zamboanga Region," aniya.

Sinabi din ni Galvez na 'carrier-centric" ang kanilang estratehiyang ginagawa. Tututukan nila ang testing sa mga susunod na araw upang ma-detect at ma-isolate agad ang lahat ng possible carriers at maiwasan makahawa ang mga ito. (PIA NCR)
