BFP-Ifugao Provincial Fire Marshal Superintendent Allan Ebalar disclosed that through the BOSS, the different municipal fire stations were able to collect about Php2.8 million for the months of January and February 2020.
“The said amount is far-higher compared to the whole year of 2019 with Php973,474.50 only. We gained this success in partnership with the local government units and through the cooperation of the business sector and other stakeholders,” he a said.
BOSS is part of the government’s initiative to streamline the processing of business permits and licenses and to ease doing business. It is usually conducted during the whole month of January.
The Department of Trade and Industry is the lead agency tasked in implementing and monitoring Republic Act No. 11032, also known as Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Delivery of Government Service Act. This law aims to speed up the delivery of government services by simplifying the issuance of business permits and licenses and fire inspection and other related transactions.
