Senior Citizen Booklet. Mga magsasaka ng Palay sa Bulacan, pinahiram ng tig-P15 libo ng LBP

LUNGSOD NG MALOLOS, Nobyembre 7 (PIA) -- Pinahiram ng Land Bank of the Philippines o LBP ng tig-15 libong piso ang may 746 na mga magsasaka ng Palay sa Bulacan sa ilalim ng Expanded Survival and Recovery Assistance o SURE AID na programa ng Department of Agriculture o DA.

 

Tumanggap ng tig-15 libong piso ang may 746 na mga magsasaka ng Palay sa Bulacan mula sa Land Bank of the Philippines sa ilalim ng Expanded Survival and Recovery Assistance o SURE AID. Isa itong pautang na walang interes at walang kolateral para sa mga magsasakang may sakahan ng Palay na isang ektarya pababa. Ang SURE AID ay programa ng Department of Agriculture bilang pang-agapay sa mga magsasakang naapektuhan ng nakaraang mga kalamidad at pagmura ng presyo dahil sa ipinaiiral na Rice Tariffication Law. (Shane F. Ayon kay Provincial Agriculturist Ma. Gloria Carillo, ito ay pang-agapay sa mga magsasaka ng Palay na nasalanta ng mga nakaraang kalamidad at mga naapektuhan ng pagbaba ng presyo dahil sa ipinaiiral na Rice Tarrification Law. 

Pinili sila base sa talaan na nakalista sa Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture. Prayoridad dito ang mga magsasakang may sakahan na isang ektarya pababa. 

Ipinaliwanag ni LBP President and Chief Executive Officer Cecilia C. Borromeo na ang SURE AID ay hiwalay pang pondo at iba pang programa sa Rice Enhancement Competitiveness Enhancement Fund o RCEF.

Isa aniyang programa ang SURE AID para makabwelo ang mga magsasaka dahil sa sobrang pagkamura ng Palay habang ang RCEF naman ay pondong tutulong para sa pagpapalakas ng ani ng mga magsasaka sa gitna ng malayang kalakalan sa Bigas. 

Binigyang diin pa ni Borromeo na nabuo ang konsepto ng SURE AID sa direktiba ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa DA na alalayan ang mga magsasakang naapektuhan ng Rice Tariffication Law.

Isa itong pautang na walang interes at walang kolateral. Kakaunti rin ang rekisito at mas pinadali ang aplikasyon, gayundin ang pagbabayad. 

Maaring bayaran ng mga magsasaka ang pahiram na 15 libong piso sa loob ng walong taon o dalawang beses kada isang taon. Sa madaling salita, ayon kay Borromeo, magtabi lamang ng 5.15 piso kada araw ang magsasaka ay kayang-kaya nang mabayaran ito. 

Kaugnay nito, upang maging madali sa mga magsasaka na makuha ang perang pahiram, pinagkalooban sila ng SURE AID Cash Card na maaring magamit sa maski saang automated teller machines ng LBP.

Sa Bulacan, may siyam na mga branches ang nasabing bangko na matatagpuan sa San Ildefonso, Baliwag, Pulilan, Malolos-Mac Arthur Highway, Malolos-Bayan, Balagtas, Santa Maria, Meycauayan at San Jose Del Monte.

Samantala, tiniyak ni Gobernador Daniel R. Fernando na kasabay ng pag-agapay ng LBP at DA sa mga magsasakang Bulakenyo, patuloy aniyang magbubuhos din ng pondo ang Pamahalaang Panlalawigan sa sektor ng pagsasaka.

Kabilang diyan ang pagtuturo ng mga modernong kaparaanan kaya’t ibinalita ng gobernador ang pagbuhay sa dati nang pasilidad ng kapitolyo na Farmers Training Center. 

Sumulat na rin aniya siya sa National Irrigation Administration upang tanggalin ang mga iligal na nakatayo sa gilid at mismong kanal ng patubig upang matiyak ang tuluy-tuloy na irigasyon sa mga sakahan sa lalawigan. (CLJD/SFV-PIA 3)
