“I congratulate the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) for their remarkable accomplishments this past year, and I must say that your good work, dedication to duty and your deep commitment to the ideals of service, honor and justice are the best tributes you can render to our forebears who composed our forerunner organizations- the Insular Constabulary, the Philippine Constabulary and the Integrated National Police”, said PGen. Oscar Albayalde during the 118th Police Service Anniversary at Camp Bado Dangwa here, Friday.
The anniversary celebration theme “Pinahusay na Serbisyo , Alay sa Sambayanang Pilipino.”
“I hope that every member of PROCOR and the entire PNP will continue to bring honor to our police organization the same way our forebears did in their time”, he said.
Albayalde mentioned the late Major Bado Dangwa, a brave Benguet warrior in whose memory the Camp was named.
Amidst the endless challenges that the police service continues to face, Albayalde is happy that PROCOR has been marching gallantly forward in serving and protecting the region and the country as a whole.
“I ask for your best effort in pursuing the PNP mission and in keeping the ranks clean and respectable at all times/ This is what our countrymen deserve and this is what we will give them, “Albayalde said.
The police chief said that no less than President Duterte commended the entire PNP for the good work in their strong campaign and operations against criminality, illegal drugs, illegal gambling and other forms of terrorism as well as the efforts of internal cleansing.
Recently, the PNP acquired some P784 million worth of new police cars and equipment to enhance the basic operational requirements its personnel, especially in the city and municipal police stations, the regional public safety battalions, provincial public safety companies and national support units.
PROCOR is the most disciplined law enforcers based on a recent assessment conducted by the National Police Commission on the professionalism of the country’s police force. (JDP/JBZ- PIA CAR)
