Governor Jerry Dalipog reminded employees from national and local agencies in the province during the Civil Servants Day here in celebration of the 119t Philippine Civil Service (PCS) anniversary with the theme “Civil Service at 119: Upholding Integrity and Building a High Trust Society.|”
He enjoined government workers to improve themselves and the quality of service for the benefit of the people and be real civil servants not only in name but in action too.
Civil Service Commission – Ifugao Director Anita Verina Paredes explained that this year’s celebration of the PCS anniversary is anchored on one of the AmBisyon Natin 2040’s key areas for development planning which is building a high-trust society.
“Developing a high trust relationship is important not only to our personal happiness but our influence at work and career success, “she said.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan members also assured their support to all endeavors uplifting the general welfare of government workers through the aid of legislation for everyone’s benefit.
The Civil Servants Day started with a parade around the poblacion and culminated with a program and choral competition at the public plaza.
For the choral competition, the local government unit of Lagawe topped the contest with Kiangan and Banaue for the second and third place respectively.
The contest piece was the “Awit ng Serbisyo Sibil” with the following criteria: mastery and voice quality – 30%; correct diction, pronunciation and phrasing – 25%; blending and harmony - 25%; proper and appropriate use of attire – 10% and stage presence and general impact – 10%.
