The fund-raising activity that earned more than Php 43,000 was participated by more than 100 government employees and officials and community folks. The amount was turned-over to the family of Jiro U. Dumannop, a 17 month-old child diagnosed with global development delay, epilepsy and tonic type structural and presently confined at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center in Baguio City.
Acting Chief of Police Captain Michael Dangilan said that the event was part of the launching of their emerging best practice dubbed “Kaboblayan Mi, Baddangan Mi” (Assistance for the community)
“This will be conducted once a year to raise funds and provide financial assistance to less privileged constituents in the municipality who are much in need for their medication,” Dangilan said.
Hungduan MPS is among the police stations in the province that maintains best practices as a way of serving the people and bringing the government closer to the community. Some of the best practices include providing free haircut, assistance to local and foreign tourists, delivering packages to concerned individuals when patrolling, among others.
