33 4Ps beneficiaries complete training course for security guards

KIANGAN, Ifugao, Aug. 2 (PIA)- - Thirty three individuals consisting of five females and 28 males from the municipalities of Banaue, Lamut, Mayoyao and this town completed their 10-days Pre-Licensing Training Course for Security Guards at the Kiangan Youth Hostel here funded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

 

Personnel from the ASEGCO Security Training Institute Inc. of Baguio City were tapped as the trainers of “Class Agila of 2018.”

DSWD Project Development Officer II Mila Padong said the activity was one of the identified needs proposed and submitted in 2017 during a consultation meeting of the families of indigent and beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) from the four towns to help alleviate their poverty.

The training was funded under DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program and Skills Training for Employment which covered the participants’ food, training materials and lodging for the training duration

Padong informed that the assistance of the DSWD to the graduates does not end in the training. It will also provide each of them P5, 000 as employment assistance for them to secure all the requirements and other needs for their employment. (JDPDBC- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
