TESDA-Ifugao trains 19 participants on hairdressing

KIANGAN, Ifugao, Aug. 3 (PIA) - -The Technological Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) here provided training on hairdressing to 19 participants to enable them to be issued National Competency II (NC II) certificates.

 

The trainees came from poor but interested families and drug surrenderers of the town who completed their community-based rehabilitation program at the Ifugao Reflection Camp.

Funded under the Barangay Kabuhayan Skills Training Program of the TESDA, participants train for 25 days before they are issued their NC II certificates.

After completing their training, the participants are provided an amount as a capital for them to start their own business endeavor or for them to use in looking for employment abroad or locally.

This project is a continuing joint undertaking of the local government unit of Kiangan and TESDA to provide opportunity for those needing similar assistance to improve their living situation and for rehabilitated drug personalities to start a new and productive life. (PIA Ifugao)
