Ifugao achievers recognized in Gotad celebration

LAGAWE, Ifugao, June 25 (PIA) -- Fourteen ‘immipugos’ who excelled in various fields and brought honor to the province have been recognized in the 2018 Achievers Award program as part of the province’s annual Gotad Ad Ifugao celebration.

 

The 2018 Achievers Award had five categories – board exam topnotchers, international champions, entrepreneurs, national officials, and multi-awarded military personnel.

Under the board exam topnotcher , awardees are Hannah Grace D. Pugong of Dugong, Lagawe who placed third in the 2017 Nursing Licensure Examination; John Edison D. Vergara of Poblacion East, Lamut , 2nd in 2016 Licensure Examination for Geodetic Engineers; Arnel D. Bilibli of Mungayang, Kiangan,  4th  in 2017 Environmental Planner Licensure Exam; Zyra Biniahan of Hapao, Hungduan, 7th in  2016 Customs Broker Licensure Exam; Jeremy B. Arganda of Pindongan, Kiangan, 5th in 2017 Mining Engineer board exam; Nathan D. Habiling from Piwong, Hingyon, No. 7 in 2014 Mining Engineer Licensure Exam; and Kevin C. Bango of Poblacion North, Lagawe, 5th in the 2017 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination.

Recognized for the international champions category are Carl Jammes C. Martin of Cababuyan, Hingyon for bagging various national and international boxing championships; Kevin Belingon of Duit, Kiangan for winning at the main event of the ONE Heroes of Honor on April 2018; and Adeline D. Ancheta of Kiangan for being gold awardee at the 2017 9th ASEAN Para Games.

Completing the list of awardees are Jose D. Tomas Sr. of Tam-an, Banaue for his leadership and entrepreneurial skills; Commodore Toribio D. Adaci Jr. for being the Fleet-Marine Ready Force Commander; PCSupt. John D. Luglug of Poblacion East, Lagawe for being the Deputy Director for Administration in the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG); and 2LT (Ret) Alexander D. Guinid of Poblacion South, Lagawe for his heroism and gallantry .

Governor Pedro Mayam-o said the achievers have brought pride to the province and he encouraged everyone to help create a positive image of their communities and of the whole Ifugao. (PIA CAR)
