Clean and green program gains support from Ifugao gov’t. workers

LAGAWE, Ifugao, April 13 (PIA) -- The clean and green program (CGP) of the provincial government has gained support from various government employees province-wide.

A statement of commitment for the effective implementation of the CGP was signed by state workers from the 11 municipalities of the province during the launching of the CGP contest.

The employees committed to promote proper sanitation, clean, healthy and friendly environment as a sustainable and less expensive approach for the prevention of sickness especially caused by waterborne and airborne viruses.

They also assured their support to the CGP by encouraging the different municipal local government units to design and innovate their own programs and ordinances that would enhance solid and liquid waste management.

“We will help encourage the participation of communities and household owners to work and maintain a clean and green environment and help harmonize some programs and activities of the different agencies concerning environment and sanitation,” they stated.
