4Ps beneficiaries train on sugarcane processing

ALFONSO LISTA, Ifugao, July 21 (PIA) - - Beneficiaries  of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program( 4Ps) in this municipality  recently  participated in  a training to enhance their skills for community development and self-empowerment.


The Sustainable Livelihood Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in coordination with local government of Alfonso Lista conducted a 3-day training on sugar cane production and processing to 25 4Ps members of the municipality.

Said training is a continuing capability support to 4Ps members   to establish within themselves a sustainable livelihood for financial independence. Starter kits were   provided by the DSWD- Sustainable Livelihood Program.

Vice Mayor Joseph Angowan stressed  the importance of joining activities and skills trainings offered and conducted by the government. “Treasure the investments given by our government for your continuous source of living,” he said.

Councilor Michael Buminaang enjoined the participants to  grab the opportunities given by the government while Milagrita Ildefonso of the Municipal Social Welfare Office  advised the group to bind and strengthen themselves for community development.
