DepEd-Ifugao hires 36 new employees

LAGAWE, Ifugao, June 15 (PIA) - Thirty six new employees were hired by the Department of Education (DepEd)-Ifugao Schools Division Office (SDO) for various positions.

The new hires took their mass oath taking last June 14 at the SDO Conference Hall administered by Schools Division Superintendent Sally Ullalim and witnessed by Governor Pedro Mayam-o, schools officials and employees.

In welcoming the new staff to DepEd, Ullalim told them to cherish their jobs because their calling is service to the people and it is an opportunity for them to prove their significance. She also cautioned them that DepEd is not a ‘bed of roses’ for they will surely face challenges especially in their works so they must prepare and learn how to cope with it.

Governor Mayam-o also advised them to have passion, dedication and sense of service in their work. If they do this, they will be rewarded with promotion and higher compensation.

Newly hired school nurse Valerio Famorca, in giving the response on behalf of the new staff, said they are very happy to be members of the DepEd family and they will do their best to deliver the expectations in their respective jobs and positions. Daniel B. Codamon (JDP/DBC-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
