PIA opens info kiosk in Ifugao

LAGAWE, Ifugao, June  (PIA) - - The Philippine Information Agency recently opened its information kiosk at the Capitol building here.


Provincial Administrator Lawyer Albert Pawingi led   the cutting of the ribbon witnessed by national and provincial employees who attended the flag raising ceremony. He also enjoined government employees to promote good governance for an efficient and effective delivery of services to the community.

A short program was conducted before the ribbon cutting wherein employees of the Provincial Engineering Office sang the ASEAN hymn while raising the ASEAN flag. Daniel Codamon of PIA-Ifugao gave a briefing on ASEAN.

The kiosk is part of the information activities of PIA in promoting ASEAN and the Philippines’ hosting of the ASEAN summit this year that coincides with the 50th anniversary of the 10 member-state regional association. It contains ASEAN information materials, Mula sa Masa, Para sa Masa tabloid and Pilipinas Tayo flyer.

Similar kiosks are also established  in the provincial capitols in Abra, Benguet and Mountain Province, the Baguio City Hall, Tabuk City hall and SM Baguio. Marcelo B. Lihgawon (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
