6 Benguet contractors suspended

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet  – The province’s Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) recommended the suspension of six contractors in future public bidding of projects being implemented in the province for a maximum of one year for allegedly submitting alleged falsified documents during previous bidding processes that race back to the last administration.

 

Kibungan, Kapangan dads hit for grave abuse of authority

KIBUNGAN, Benguet – Concerned indigenous peoples (IP) leaders in Kapangan and Kibungan accused and criticized the members of their municipal councils for grave abuse of authority for allegedly approving a resolution mandating the Cordillera Hydroelectric Power Corporation (COHECO) to submit its financial statement to the two local governments within fifteen days and that the company’s failure to do so will warrant the withdrawal of the municipal endorsements of its 60-megawatt run-off-river project.

Strawberry Farm

La Trinidad is know to be the “Strawberry Capital of the Philippines” because of the strawberry fields. Visitors can experience strawberry picking and also taste different products made from strawberry like the strawberry ice cream and strawberry “taho”.

BenCab Museum

The BenCab museum, located at KM 6. The Philippine Contemporary Art Galleries highlight the artist’s collection of paintings, drawings, prints and sculpture. The smaller exhibition rooms contain other collections accumulated by BenCab through the years.

Bell Church

The home to beautiful landscaped gardens and intricately designed arches and buildings adorned with flags, bells and dragons. Bell church holds some artifacts about Buddhism and literatures about the history of China.

Mt. Pulag

Kabayan Mummies
