Hearing on Amburayan water application slated December 11

KIBUNGAN, Benguet – The National Water Resources Board (NWRB) took cognizance of the petition from concerned indigenous peoples (IPs) in the municipality vehemently opposing the application for water rights over portions of the Amburayan River filed by the controversial Coheco Badeo Corporation for its ambitious 500-megawatt pump storage project in the remote village of Badeo as it scheduled the preliminary hearing for the said opposition on December 11, 2017.

Provincial officials led by Governor Crescencio Pacalso together with Smart/PLDT Vice President for Business Operations Benedicto Perez launched the internet connectivity project spearheaded by the Department of Information Communications Technology at the Provincial Capitol last November 21.

Strawberry Farm

La Trinidad is know to be the “Strawberry Capital of the Philippines” because of the strawberry fields. Visitors can experience strawberry picking and also taste different products made from strawberry like the strawberry ice cream and strawberry “taho”.
