Benguet RH Council approves 3-yr plan

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet, July 13 (PIA) - -  The Provincial Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health (RPRH) Council has approved the three-year integrated reproductive health roadmap which gives direction to the local RH programs of the province.


The Annual Integrated Reproductive Health Plan (AIRHP)  anchored on the local RPRH Code, which was passed year,  was approved during a recent  meeting   presided by Committee Chair on Health and Social Services Board Member Jim Botiwey.

Total budget for the initial implementation for 2018 amounts to P1.924 million of which the Department of Health is expected to allot P1.777 million while the provincial government will have a counterpart of P147,000.00.

RH covers aspects such as health, nutrition and social services specifically maternal, neonatal, child health and nutrition, family program and services, elimination of violence against women and children, adolescent and youth education and sexuality, prevention and treatment of infertility and sexual dysfunction, and treatment of breast and reproductive tract cancers, gynecological conditions, prevention and treatment of infertility and sexual dysfunction, male responsibility and involvement and men’s reproductive health, RH mental health.

Issues, concerns and problems were identified as well as causes and contributory factors affecting such and ways to respond to these. Strategies in implementing the programs, projects and activities and expected output are likewise indicated.

Also included in the plan are institutional mechanisms for the RPRH law implementation. 

The Council chaired by Governor Crescencio Pacalso and composed of officials and provincial government heads and personnel, national line agencies, academe, and the private sector is tasked to formulate plans and policies in pushing the RH program in the province.

Bell Church

Mt. Pulag

Kabayan Mummies

Rose Gardens

Rose lovers will surely be pleased with Rose Gardens. A famous tourist attraction located in La Trinidad. Here, you will find a large variety of roses, chrysanthemums and other ornamental plants.

Mt. Ugo

This is considered to be one of the major destinations in the Cordilleras. It is the highest mountain located in Tinongdan, Itogon via the Benguet-Vizcayay boundary that boasts of stunning views of neighboring mountains and the great Luzon valley.

EL Kikasa
