Benguet to receive P4B worth of infra projects

BENGUET province is set to benefit from the billions worth of infrastructure projects sourced out by Rep. Ronald Cosalan.


Cosalan bared the Department of Public Works and Highways will have the bulk of the funding the repair, rehabilitation, upgrading and concreting of various national roads and bridges in the province worth P4.25 billion.

The solon added more additional P1 billion will be spread out in the different agencies for the upgrading of farm to market roads, construction of school buildings, improvement of agrarian reform communities and irrigation facilities, scholarship grant to poor but deserving students and the provision of basic health services and livelihood program. “We are happy to report we were able to get billions of funding for the benefit of our constituents.

Bulk of which will be spent for the improvement of major road networks in the province and farm to market roads which we see as the most vital road infrastructure project to help our farmers deliver their goods to the market,” Cosalan said.

Cosalan added farmers from the far flung areas of the province will directly benefit from the improvement of inter-municipal, inter-provincial and inter-regional connectivity which reduces transportation cost of the agricultural produce.

In 2017, Benguet got more than P3.3 billion worth of various infrastructure projects implemented in the different parts of the province by various agencies. Cosalan said with the budget, all national roads and secondary national arterial roads will be paved resulting to better and more convenient travel around the province in the future.

The Benguet solon is also working out for the funding of the unpaved 80 out of the 143 kilometer circumferential road that will interconnect Baguio - La Trinidad - Itogon – Sablan – Tuba – Tublay.

The smaller exhibition rooms contain other collections accumulated by BenCab through the years.

Bell Church

The home to beautiful landscaped gardens and intricately designed arches and buildings adorned with flags, bells and dragons. Bell church holds some artifacts about Buddhism and literatures about the history of China.

Mt. Pulag

Mt. Ugo

This is considered to be one of the major destinations in the Cordilleras. It is the highest mountain located in Tinongdan, Itogon via the Benguet-Vizcayay boundary that boasts of stunning views of neighboring mountains and the great Luzon valley.
