BAGUIO CITY, April 3 (PIA) -- The Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) is all set for the 2018 Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) and Search for the Regional Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar (ROBNS).
In a meeting last March 20, the RNET members agreed to start the MELLPI on April 12 in Bontoc, Mountain Province. The MELLPI and OBNS Evaluation are scheduled in Abra on April 23-27; May 14-18 in Kalinga; May 21-24, 2018 in Apayao, Tabuk City and Ifugao (OBNS and MELLPI Provincial Nutrition Committee); May 28-June 1 in Benguet and June 4-8 in Mt. Province.
OBNS Evaluation for Baguio City is set on April 25, 2018 while MELLPI covering three municipalities of Ifugao is scheduled on June 4-8.
This year’s MELLPI is chaired by the Department of Health represented by Candice Willy, and co-chaired by the Department of Social Welfare and Development represented by Eleonor K. Bugalin.
Nancy Paclos of the National Nutrition Council -Cordillera explained that MELLPI and BNS evaluation are institutionalized activities of the national and local nutrition committees since 1979. It aims to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of local governments in planning and implementation of local nutrition programs.
RNET is an organization of the inter-agency evaluation team composed of the members of the Regional Nutrition Committee or their duly designated representatives.
