The bamboo has multifarious uses from its roots to its tips. It is an alternate raw material for wood furniture industry or engineered for construction building materials, furniture and fixtures, handicrafts and various novelty items. Its roots have medicinal properties and its fiber can be loom-woven into smooth garment.

 

Abra gets P110M for 3 tourism road projects

3 river systems to undergo rehabilitation

BANGUED, Abra  – Three major river basins in the Cordillera will undergo a massive rehabilitation after the Regional Development Council (RDC) and the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) endorsed to Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu the climate responsive integrated master plan for the Agno River basin, the Cagayan River basin, and the Abra River basin.
