BANGUED, Abra, (PIA) -- The Abra Provincial Police Office (APPO) recently reorganized its Provincial Advisory Council (PAC) in efforts to improve police services.
Carmelita Bersalona, chair of the Abra Peace Conveners’ Group (APCG), was un-opposed during the election of the members of council.
The PAC is established for the purpose of providing support through technical/advisory assistance to the APPO especially in matters affecting peace and order program and the international police program dubbed as Patrol Plan 2030 that aims to intensify and improve police services.
It is composed of representatives from various sectors in the province with working committees to perform specific tasks on resource generation, health services, communications and community services.
With PAC, plans and programs of the APPO are sustained and assured of proper implementation especially now that the anti-drug campaign of President Rodrigo R. Duterte is being intensified. The anti-drug campaign of Duterte is now dubbed as Double Barrel Reloaded.
The APPO leadership thanked the PAC members for their commitment to provide continuing support and assistance to the police command especially that top ranking officers of the PNP are rotated on a very short interval. Maria Teresa B. Beñas (JDP/MTBB – PIA CAR, Abra)
